Sakarya Achieved $1.2 Billion in Exports in the First Quarter of 2025

Sakarya made a strong contribution to the Turkish economy with exports of $1 billion 203 million in the first three months of 2025. The majority of these exports came from the automotive sector. The city, which hosts the production centers of global brands such as Toyota, Otokar and TürkTraktör, obtained more than 84 percent of its total exports from the automotive sector. In the first quarter of the year, automotive exports exceeded $1 billion 17 million.

This performance made Sakarya the eighth province in Turkey with the highest exports. In addition, iron and non-ferrous metals, chemicals and products, steel and machinery and components sectors also had a significant share in exports.
